Ms. Stone earned B.A. and M.A. in Counseling from UTSA. She began her career in education at SWISD as a student teacher at Big Country Elementary. She has over 25 years of experience in the field and she enjoys spending quality time with friends and family.

About Ms. Angulo:
 

Ms. Angulo is a dedicated High School Counselor with a passion for empowering students to achieve success both academically and personally. With a strong focus on mental health, post-secondary goals, and empathetic listening, she strives to create a supportive environment that fosters growth and resilience.

With over 10 years of experience in education—five of which were spent as an English teacher at McAuliffe Middle School—Ms. Angulo has developed a deep understanding of the challenges students face. She holds an undergraduate degree from California State University, San Bernardino, and earned her Master’s in Counseling and Guidance from Texas A&M University, San Antonio.

 

Outside of her professional pursuits, Ms. Angulo enjoys traveling, savoring coffee, and spending time with her cat, Mochi. In her free time, she loves to explore the beautiful landscapes of downtown San Antonio through hiking and cycling.

Mr. Britton is an avid adventurer who loves spending time in the great outdoors, whether it's hiking through scenic trails or enjoying the thrill of deep-sea fishing and boating. He cherishes the moments spent with his three children, sharing these passions and creating lasting memories together. Cycling is another favorite pastime, allowing him to explore new paths and enjoy nature's beauty. As a proud graduate of Southwest High School, class of 2004, and Rice University, he carries the spirit of adventure and community with him everything he does.

About Ms. Richardson: 
 

Ms. Richardson is a dedicated educator and counselor with a strong commitment to fostering student success. After graduating from Southwest High School, she pursued higher education at Texas A&M University in College Station, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Upon returning to her alma mater, Ms. Richardson distinguished herself as an English teacher and was honored as Southwest High School's Teacher of the Year for the 2016-2017 school year.

Building on her passion for education, she obtained a counseling certificate from Angelo State University and has served as a counselor at Southwest Legacy High School for the past eight years, guiding students through their academic and personal challenges with care and expertise.

Outside of her professional career, Ms. Richardson is an avid reader with a deep interest in history and a lifelong learner who enjoys studying languages. She values family, spending quality time with her husband, son, and pets, reflecting her belief in strong personal connections alongside her professional dedication.

About Mrs. Flores-Valdez

Mrs. Flores-Valdez is an experienced educator and counselor with over 25 years of dedication to helping students and families succeed. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Counseling from UTSA, as well as a Master’s in Counseling from Lamar University.

Throughout her extensive career, Mrs. Flores-Valdez has served in various educational roles, utilizing her counseling expertise to guide students through their academic and personal journeys. She has a passion for student development, mental health, and fostering a supportive learning environment. Her comprehensive educational background and real-world experience make her an invaluable resource to students and colleagues alike.

Outside of her professional life, Mrs. Flores-Valdez is an avid long-distance runner, concert-goer, and traveler. She enjoys spending time with her family, including her four grown children and her beloved dogs. With a love for adventure, she also participates in barrel racing and painting, balancing her professional life with her diverse interests.

Mr. Jimenez is passionate about helping students reach their full academic, social and emotional potential. Playing drums growing up, he is passionate about everything Music! He holds a BA in History from Texas A&M University - San Antonio, and earned a Master's in School Counseling from UTSA. He adores his family and pups Bella & Mila. In his free time, Mr. Jimenez enjoys attending sporting events, concerts, and spending time outdoors enjoying nature!

About Ms. Moreno
 

Ms. Moreno earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work.  She is a Licensed Master of Social Work in the State of Texas.
Her social work inspiration has been enriched by the many children and families she has worked with over the years.  Her social work knowledge has developed through strong mentors and peers who share the same passion for social services. 
Ms. Moreno’s professional experiences include providing social work services in the public school system at the elementary, middle and high school levels for at-risk students and students receiving Special Education related services. 
Ms. Moreno’s professional experiences also includes the Child Welfare system in both Bexar and Hidalgo County.  Social work services were provided in the areas of child abuse and neglect investigations, adoption, foster care and at-risk youth/teens.   
Ms. Moreno is an adjunct faculty at Our Lady of the Lake University, Worden School of Social Services.

About Mr. Espinoza
 

Mr. Espinoza is from San Antonio, TX and has a passion to assist students in preparing for success beyond Legacy High School.  A dedicated educator with a history as a professor with Alamo Communities Colleges and also in the High School Sector.  Empowering, preparing, and motivating students to achieve success both academically and personally inside and outside of Legacy High School is a main priority for him. 

Mr. Espinoza is from the Southwest area and  has an experienced understanding of the paths students can take to achieve positive production and involvement as a young adult. Mr. Espinoza has a BA from National Christian University, a Masters from Our Lady of the Lake University and is also a PhD candidate at OLLU.

Outside interest for Mr. Espinoza is Coaching youth softball and spending time with his family that are also part of the Southwest District.
