Military Families

Legacy High School welcomes our military families! We recognize the unique strengths and challenges of our military-connected families, and we aim to provide a smooth transition for students and provide support and resources to families throughout the stay in SWISD. Thank you for choosing our district! 

We support military-connected children and families by:

• Introducing a campus "ambassador" through the Student 2 Student program, that helps introduce the military-connected student to Legacy High School by providing a campus tour, making arrangements to eat breakfast/lunch together and being available to questions or concerns.
• Providing news and updates for events and activities featuring military students, families, and veterans.
• Designating available resources for students and military families.
• Hosting "Month of the Military Child" events on campus and celebrating our Military families through a series of school-wide and district-wide events.
• Providing priority status in the school’s enrollment process for children of active-duty families.
